Purpose of the Traccar Client App
The Traccar Client App sends live GPS location data from a rider’s phone to the MotoTracker GPS tracking server.
This enables automatic GPS waypoint hits, diagnostics, and optional geofence notifications.
Supported Platforms
You will need-

- Internet access
Step 1 – Install the Traccar Client App
Install app from either Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Step 2 – Open the App and Create a Device
Open Traccar Client and begin configuration.
Step 3 – Enter the Traccar Server URL

Step 4 – Set the Device Identifier
Use the unique identifier created in your MotoTracker account, example MT0353965607.
Step 5 – Configure Settings & Advanced Settings
- Location Accuracy – High
- Distance (meters) – 10
- Stationary Heartbeat – Disabled
- Fastest Interval – 30 Seconds
- Offline Buffering – On
- Stop Detection – On
Step 6 – Grant Required Permissions
Allow location access always and enable notifications.
Note: The app may automatically prompt to enable this after launch.
Step 7 – Start Tracking
Toggle Continuous Tracking ‘ON’.
Allow location access always and disable battery optimization.
Step 8 – Verify Data Is Being Sent
Click ‘Show Status’ and view logs.
Review logs to verify server connections and no errors.

Start tracking before the ride and keep the app running.
