This guide walks a rider from zero setup to fully working GPS tracking using MotoTracker and Traccar Client.
MotoTracker is currently in beta testing. Accounts are generated by request only. If you are interested in participationg in beta testing of the Mototracker App, please submit a request form.
Step 1 – Register for MotoTracker
Open https://app.mototracker.app/register
Note: During beta testing you will need and invite code to register on Mototracker. You can request to join beta testing at https://mototracker.app/request-mototracker-account/.
Step 2 – Create GPS Tracking Account
- Go to Rider → GPS Account
- Click Create GPS Account
MotoTracker will automatically create and link your GPS tracking account.
Step 3 – Create Your GPS Device
Go to My Rides → My GPS Device
Click ‘Create My Device’
MotoTracker will generate a unique MT-prefixed device ID and provision it in the MotoTracker GPS application.
Step 4 – Install & Configure the Traccar Client app.
Be sure to use the ‘MT##########’ as your device identifier.

Step 5 – Install & Configure the Traccar Manager app.
Traccar Manager is required to receive push notification at geofence/waypoint entry.

Step 6 – GPS Tracking Ready
Your GPS device status in MotoTracker will update to ‘Communicating’ after ingesting your first ride waypoint. you can verify your GPS device is active by checking the status in Traccar Manager. The device icon will be either grey in which case it is connected, but offline. Or green when it’s online.
You can force the device online by clicking ‘Send Location’ in the Traccar Client app. This should update the location icon to green. If the icon is red / offline, there is a configuration issue or hardware issue. Request support via https://mototracker.app/contact/.
